Whilst working on a commercial project for one of our clients; we came across a revival trend in cork and was amazed to find so many different styles and ways to use this material. Relatively inexpensive and easy to work with, cork is a great way to give your home a new personality. We’ve  collected a few sample images illustrating how cork can be an interior idea worth considering.

Cork bark is harvested from the cork oak tree, the cork is stripped every 9 years doing no harm to the tree. The product is sustainable, environmentally friendly, and a brilliant material to absorb sound. Used as a feature wall or flooring the textures are unique and the material can be coloured to match any idea your imagination can conjure.

The product can be used as a feature wall in bathrooms; and we all know its properties for flooring in high traffic areas such as kitchens. It can also be used for bench tops.

Simple textures to coloured cosmic finishes the variations are excellent and an inexpensive alternative.

Taste; like pain; is a personal thing.  We’ve found that cork fits many taste ideas and budgets.  Simply a great product and well worth consideration.
